We Have Brand New Ownership!

It looks like the city is finally coming out of the bitter cold of winter, and spring will soon be on its way. That means change is coming, and like the saying goes, change is good! That rings especially true in the technical industries, because as technology increases and improves, new methods and tactics are needed to stay current with trends. That’s why West Tech Mobile is happy to announce a change in ownership, and some great new results coming to our clients!

We’d like to give an official welcome to Sorin Deaconu, a Red Seal-licensed mechanic and an APEGA professional engineer. He has a background in lean manufacturing, maintenance and reliability engineering, quality engineering, and heavy-duty equipment design. All of that makes him a perfect fit for our industry, and for our customers!

With his expertise on our side, we are excited to be expanding our abilities and our dedication to providing heavy equipment services to the people we work with. As always, we will stand behind our work, but the biggest change is that we can now do more of it, and keep it all in one simple and convenient place. 

One of the areas we are redeveloping is our certification system: we can now certify cranes, man-lift equipment, and trucks with buckets, cranes, and booms. This means that for all our customers who, in the past, had to go to multiple places for service, certification, inspections, renewal stickers, etc., you are now able to get it all done here with us for one price, under one roof. How simple is that? If you are also part of our Preferred Customer Program, then the benefits of this compound: along with all the discounts you already receive as a member on your other trucks and heavy equipment, you can now apply the same benefits to the buckets, cranes, booms, or man-lifts.

But it still gets better! With these new goals in mind, West Tech Mobile has acquired a company-wide APEGA permit necessary to practice engineering. That means we are able to approve structural modifications to these vehicles, as well as inspecting and testing them to be in accordance with governmental standards. And this goes beyond just a regular after-market part that you might find – we will now even be able to assist with custom parts building and modifications, and help you do research and development to find a solution that works best for you. From conceiving the idea, to creating blueprints, to finding the right materials and design, making it a workable addition that helps you get your job done more effectively, and making sure it’s safe and inspected, West Tech Mobile can now help you through every step of the process. You already know us, and trust us with your heavy equipment, and we’re glad to be able to expand that to include even more services. We are very excited to see what kind of work we can do in this field!

And down the road, when you need anything tested or certified again, we are able to perform Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) on your structural steel components, which helps ensure that you and your teams are staying safe while you’re out on your equipment and working hard.
